Nestled on a two-acre hillside, our 3-story cabin offers an idyllic retreat surrounded by Ponderosa Pine trees and breathtaking views, just outside the heart of Show Low, Arizona. Bring your whole monkey family to a place where they can relax and have fun!

Whether you're seeking a romantic escape or a family adventure, our cabin accommodates all within its 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, & sleeping capacity for up to 12 guests. SBMR offers an immersive experience in the stunning landscapes of Show Low, AZ. The possibilities for outdoor fun are endless:

We're excited to announce that we're currently working on creating a natural playground right here at Shiny Bottom Monkey Ranch. Guests will soon be able to enjoy the outdoors even more with a space designed for exploration and play. Whether it's for the little ones to run around or for the young at heart to reconnect with their inner child, our natural playground will add an extra layer of fun to your stay.


PETS & NATURE

We understand that pets are part of the family, and that's why Shiny Bottom Monkey Ranch is proud to be pet friendly. Our cabin is designed to accommodate both two-legged and four-legged guests for a complete family experience. Bring your furry friends along to enjoy the great outdoors with you. Take leisurely walks around the property or explore the nearby trails together. Two sizes of fold-out dog kennels are available for your use. Leashes are recommended as the property is not fully fenced.

One of the unique aspects of our ranch is the opportunity to connect with nature up close. Experience the magic of seeing deer right from your cabin, creating cherished memories and a sense of wonder for guests of all ages. Immerse yourself in the serene surroundings and relish the chance to observe Arizona’s wildlife in their natural habitat.


PARKING

Rest assured that your stay at Shiny Bottom Monkey Ranch will be convenient and stress-free. Our property offers ample parking space for guests, making it easy to bring multiple vehicles. During times of rain or snow, 4x4 may be necessary to use the upper parking area. Additionally, parking space is available for utility trailers, ensuring that all your travel needs are met with convenience and ease.


COVERED DECKS

Indulge in the beauty of the outdoors with 3 covered decks at the Shiny Bottom Monkey Ranch. Two of them are elevated on the 2nd
& 3rd floors, providing stunning panoramic views of the surrounding pine trees and landscape. Enjoy your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine on these spacious decks. For those seeking a more private retreat, relax on our private deck, a perfect spot for quiet contemplation.




GAME ROOM

Our game room opens to the back porch, seamlessly connecting the indoor and outdoor spaces.

  • Challenge your friends to a game of pool, air hockey, or darts while enjoying the fresh mountain air.
  • Roll out the putt-putt golf & see who can get a hole-in-one!
  • Create memorable moments with loved ones playing a corn hole tournament.
  • We have plenty of board games & puzzles to enjoy.
  • Football season? No problem! Our game room comes equipped with a big screen TV.


ZIG-ZAG DISC GOLF

Nestled among the pine trees, a game of disc golf with friends awaits! Can you make a hole-in-one from the upper deck?

Zig-zag disc golf course is at your disposal, to play as you wish. Pick your path on the mildly challenging terrain. There is no set course to follow. Play short basket-to-basket or zigzag across the ranch for creating longer throwing distance challenges. Play a basket once or come back to the basket from a different location, it's up to you! Start the round of golf from the elevated deck, as some of the baskets are in site from the decks.

We offer a basket near a cliff, so don't overshoot… There are some tight spots for the seasoned player as well as open-spaced baskets for beginners. We offer 4 sets of 3 discs each (distance, midrange, & putting) for your convenience. There is a fee if you don't find and return a disc to the game room mantel, so make sure you keep your eyes on the discs as they fly through the trees. We appreciate that you return them so the next guests can enjoy!

Play zigzag for 9 holes, and you could be walking up to 2 miles. It is a hilly terrain full of ups and downs. Try your best not to break branches or crush the manzanita bushes, as these are a snack for the local deer and wildlife. While out on the course, you may see herds of deer passing by!

BRING THE "MONKEYs" (Kids) TO PLAY

  • DOG FRIENDLY: just pick up their poo please, the deer don't like to step in it.
  • ZIP-LINE: Climb on up for a good laugh and have fun.
  • POOL TABLE: NO pool sharks, only happy monkeys with skills.
  • DARTS: You think you are good? Show me!
  • DISC GOLF: Try not to lose your disc in the manzanita bushes. Have scouts to keep an eye open as you make your shot.
  • HOT TUB: Check out the wonderful sunrise from the outdoor hot tub next to the tall pines.
  • 6+ CAR PARKING: bring your friends and families.
  • 4 BEDROOMS: Main floor, Upstairs, & 2 Downstairs
  • 3 BATHROOMS: One on each floor
  • SLEEPS 12: 3 queen beds, bunk bed with full size on bottom, twin on top. 2 fold out couches: one twin, one queen size. 
  • RUSTIC LOG CABIN: Natural wood throughout the 3-stories. 
  • ANTLER CHANDELIER: How many elk & deer antlers did they have to find to make this thing?
  • UTILITY TRAILER PARKING: Lower parking area just off the road.
  • CORN HOLE: Set it up outside the game room and play.
